Rin Dashboard
Privacy policy
A personal dashboard, operated by Harpal Gill for his own use.
Information accessed
Rin Dashboard requests Gmail read-only permission for accounts its owner explicitly connects. That permission allows reading mail; the current collector uses the account’s email address, inbox message and thread counts, change markers, message identifiers, sender and subject headers, received times, selected labels and short message snippets. It retrieves a bounded sample of up to 40 recent inbox messages per account.
The current collector does not download attachments or full message bodies. It cannot send, modify, archive or delete mail through its authorised permission.
Purpose and storage
This information is used to show the owner inbox status and recent messages in the private dashboard, and to support the owner’s requested personal briefings. Ordinary software performs collection; the collector does not call a generative AI model.
OAuth credentials and cached mailbox records are encrypted at rest on the owner’s server. Connection setup also uses protected local storage on the owner’s computer. Credentials are kept out of public pages and application logs. Source data is not published on this website.
The collector replaces its current mailbox snapshot as it refreshes. A last successful snapshot may remain while a connection needs attention, and is identified as old information. Stored credentials and cached records remain until the owner removes the connection and its local data; revoking access at Google alone does not erase existing local copies. Any backup copies must also be removed by the owner.
Sharing and personal assistance
Rin Dashboard does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or disclose it to other dashboard users. When the owner asks Rin in ChatGPT/Codex to interpret selected dashboard information, that information is shared with OpenAI for that requested assistance. The owner controls this use and their OpenAI account’s data settings. The application does not use Google user data to develop or train general-purpose AI models.
Rin Dashboard’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Control and removal
The owner can revoke Rin Dashboard’s access from Google Account connections, stop collection, and remove the associated encrypted credentials and cached records from their own systems. Removing this access does not delete any original messages from Gmail.
